WEBINAR: CIS and EAEU. Similarities and differences in conformity assessment procedures.

Overview:

After the breakup of the Soviet Union, an attempt has been made to reunite the economies of its former republics. Thus, eleven ex-Soviet republics established the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). In 2015, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was also founded. Modelled in part on the EU, this block aims to create an EU-style Eurasian internal market, with free movement of goods, services, persons and capital. Today, the EAEU has an integrated single market of 180 million people and a gross domestic product of over Int$5 trillion.

During this webinar, we will guide you through the countries-members of CIS and EAEU. You will learn about peculiarities of each market and discover the main requirements and procedures you have to follow to get access to the EAEU and CIS. After the session, you will understand the main principles of product labeling that manufacturers, importers, and distributors should know.

You will learn:

  • CIS and EAEU in brief
  • Similarities in conformity assessment procedures in CIS
  • Differences in conformity assessment procedures in CIS
