Vietnam Releases New Electrical Safety Technical Regulations for Terminal Equipment

The Ministry of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (MIC) issued a Circular No: 13/2021/TT-BTTTT on October 29, 2021 that approved national technical regulation QCVN 22:2021/BTTTT on electrical safety requirements for terminal equipment to be connected to information and communication networks.

The Regulation is based on the international standards on safety requirements. Moreover, the QCVN 22:2021/BTTTT contains reference to the articles of IEC 62368-1 that are included in Annex E of the Regulation.

This Regulation applies to the interface of equipment designed and intended to be connected as a communication terminal to an information and communication technology (ICT) network termination.
