Vietnam Launches Range of New National Technical Regulations on Safety and RF Requirements Soon

GMA Consult Group kindly reminds that a range of national technical regulations on safety and RF requirements were adopted. The documents will become effective from July 1, 2021.

Thus, the Ministry of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (MIC) has updated 7 technical regulations and issued 1 new document in 2020. The current versions of the regulations will be canceled once the new ones become effective. The Regulations relate to the following:

Even though, the Regulations are worked out on the base of the ETSI standards in most cases they are not identical to the European standards. That is why test reports according to ETSI standards may not be accepted in Vietnam and new testing against Vietnamese standards requirements will be required to get the national type approval certificate.

Please note, all the MIC Type Approval certificates that contain the former standards versions shall be automatically partially invalid and not accepted for customs clearance from July 1, 2021.

The information has been prepared by the GMA Consult Group team.
