Technical Regulation №28 from 07.02.2018 “On approval of the Technical Regulations for Energy Labeling of Household Ovens and Kitchen Hoods” will come into force in Ukraine on December 12, 2018 according the Order of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine.

The Technical Regulation is identical to Delegated Regulation (EC) №65/2014 of the European Commission from October 1, 2013 supplementing Directive 2010/30/EC of the European Parliament and the Council "On Energy Labeling of Ovens and Kitchen Hoods".

This Technical Regulation applies for electric and gas ovens (including built-in stoves) and electric kitchen hoods, (including ovens and kitchen hoods used for non-domestic purposes).

The TR is not applicable to: 

• ovens using other sources of energy other than electricity and gas  
• ovens with the function of "microwave heating"  
• small ovens  
• portable ovens  
• heat storage ovens  
• ovens, the primary heating element of which is vapor  
• ovens that only use propane and butane

There are certain requirements for the EE label, microfiche, and technical documentation.

The requirements for labeling are completely identical to the requirements of the European Union. The technical regulations of Ukraine are fully harmonized with the regulations of the European Union.

To put household ovens and kitchen hoods on the Ukraine market the following is required:

• technical energy documentation  
• EE label  
• microfiche

EE label and microfiche must be in Ukrainian. According to the Technical Regulations, it is not required to confirm compliance of products with the UA Technical Regulations on energy efficiency label. It is not required to obtain any approvals in Ukraine. Market surveillance carried on by bodies of the state market supervision or the Secretariat of the Energy Community.
