Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) announced the revision of requirements for electrical and electronics products on August 27, 2021. Thus, TISI withdrawn standard TIS 1195-2561 for audio, video, and similar electronic apparatus and restored TIS 1195-2536 for mains operated electronic and related apparatus for household and similar general use: safety requirements. The standard covers the following categories of products:

• Radio receiving apparatus
• Television receiving apparatus
• Amplifiers
• Independent load transducers and source transducers 
• Motor-driven apparatus
• Other apparatus to be used in combination with the above-mentioned apparatus, e.g. supply apparatus, battery eliminators, antenna amplifiers
• Electronic musical instruments
• Electronic accessories, e.g. self-contained tone generator

TISI also informs that standard TIS 62368 Book 1-2563 on audio/video, information and communication technology equipment will be released in the nearest future. The upcoming standard will apply to more than 20 categories of products and replace standard TIS 1195-2536.

Thus, prior to enforcement, TIS 62368 Book 1-2563 electrical and electronic products must meet the requirements of TIS 1195-2536.
