The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) released two standards on safety of lamps:
TIS 2779-2562 is identical to IEC 62776:2014+Cor1:2015 and applies to double-capped LED lamps with G5 and G13 caps, intended to replace fluorescent lamps with the same caps, having:
- a rated power up to 125 W
- a rated voltage up to 250 V
TIS 2780-2562 is harmonized with IEC 62560:2011+AMD1:2015 and applies to self-ballasted LED-lamps, intended for domestic and similar general lighting purposes, and have:
– a rated wattage up to 60 W
– a rated voltage of > 50 V up to 250 V

Although, TIS 2780-2562 and TIS 2780-2562 were developed in 2019, the Thai Ministry of Industry approved them not long ago. That is why provisions of these standards become mandatory only from March 29, 2022.
