The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the United Arab Emirates issued Calling Name Presentation technical specifications on July 1, 2019. However, these specifications did not enter into force immediately providing time for manufacturers to prepare their devices to the new requirements.
The requirements of the specifications apply to mobile devices. The document was created to enable Calling Name Presentation on all mobile devices operating on the UAE mobile networks.
The Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) is a supplementary service that allows to indicate the name information of the calling party to the called party at call set-up time for all incoming calls.
The technical requirements are performed in the relevant standards that are indicated below:

All mobile devices entering the UAE must comply with these specifications starting from December 31, 2019.
