On February 13, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Russian Federation published Order No. 4404 dated by November 6, 2018. The document determines the following:

• categories of goods that must be accompanied by information about their energy efficiency in technical manuals, on packaging, and on labels  
• list of exempted goods within each product category that don’t require to indicate information about their energy efficiency.

The Order No. 4404 came into force on February 24, 2019 and repealed previous Orders № 769 of 07.09.2010, № 1324 of 29.12.2010 and № 244 of 02.03.2011.

The list of categories affected by this Order includes:

• electric household refrigerating appliances  
• electric household washing machines  
• electric household dishwashers  
• electric household combined washer-dryers  
• electric household air conditioners  
• electric lamps for general use  
• televisions  
• electric ovens  
• elevators designed for transporting people

The Order sets more detailed descriptions of the goods requiring energy efficiency information within each product category as well as the products from the list of exempted goods.
