Qatar Issues Amended National Frequency Allocation Plan

The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) of Qatar announced the enforcement of the updated National Frequency Allocation Plan (QNFAP). In its activity, CRA follows international trends including decisions made at the World Radiocommunication Conferences (WRC). Thus, the amended QNFAP now includes recommendations indicated in the WRC 19 final acts issued by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). It is reflected in the QNFAP National Frequency Allocation Table (NFAT) and such annexes and appendices as:

- list of specific assignments

- list of frequency bands for SRD applications

- harmonized frequency ranges/frequency spots

- international agreements

- frequency Allotment Plan, etc.

CRA marks that regular revision of the QNFAP to reflect relevant requirements of international regulations concerning the allocation of frequency bands will allow Qatar to stay up-to-date and be ready to accept future innovative technologies and reserve appropriate spectrum for them.

The amended QNFAP you can find here.
