EAEU Updates List of Standards to Technical Regulation on Safety of Gaseous Fuel Devices

In the middle of January 2022, Decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) No. 86 became effective. This decision updates the list of standards that ensure compliance with the requirements of the EAEU technical regulation "On safety of devices operating on gaseous fuel" (EAEU TR 016/2011) when using on a voluntary basis. The document also extends the list of standards for the rules and methods of research (testing) and measurements including the rules of sampling required for the satisfying requirements of the EAEU technical regulations "On safety of devices operating on gaseous fuel" (EAEU TR 016/2011) and conformity assessment of products.

The lists of standards divided into 3 units based on the category of devices:

  1. equipment for cooking, heating and hot water supply, including equipment being a part of combined apparatus;
  2. block-type combustion engines and gas-powered equipment with block-type combustion engines;
  3. machinery intended for equipment installation.

The new Decision adds almost 30 standards to the lists.

In the decission, the EEC also limits the duration period for some standards and specifies the start time for others:
