The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) issued the Decision # 6. The document changed the enforcement date of technical regulation EAEU TR 048/2019 “On energy efficiency requirements for energy-using appliances”. Thus, the technical regulation becomes effective from September 1, 2022 and will be mandatory for the following categories of energy-using appliances:
Please, note that all the documents and labels must be made in Russian and, when required, in the national language of the EAEU member-state.
Meanwhile, the EEC informed that there are transitional period for TR EAEU 048/2019 implementation. Thus, if there are national legislative norms regarding energy efficiency in the EAEU member state (Belarus), it is possible to use national conformity documents against EE requirements within 24 months after the effective date of the EE regulation. However, to put new products into the circulation on such markets (Belarus) the conformity documents against TR EAEU 048/2019 requirements are mandatory.
Moreover, if there were no energy efficiency requirements in the EAEU member state (Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia) before, the energy-using appliances can be manufactured and sold in this state without any Energy efficiency conformity documents within 24 months after the effective date of the EAEU EE regulation.
