WEBINAR: Requirements for Softlines Products Accessing the Markets of the EAEU

Overview:

The Eurasian Economic Union (EACU) is a customs union comprised of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia. Trade barriers and customs duty are removed here to facilitate mutual trade.

However, prior to selling textile and clothing products on the territory of the EAEU, manufacturers and distributors must ensure their conformity with the existing regulations. This helps protect customers from the flow of low-quality and unsafe goods. From the manufacturer’s side, this demonstrates the strength of the brand and increases the revenue of the company.

In this webinar, we will talk about the main challenges manufacturers and importers may face when accessing the market of the Eurasian Economic Union. Being familiar with the main rules and procedures can help companies speed up the conformity assessment procedures and reduce time-to-market. At the end of the webinar, you’ll have a clear picture of the whole process and learn how to get your product prepared for the EAEU customers.

You will learn:

  • Technical regulations in the EAEU
  • EAEU TR 017/2011 "On safety of light industry products"
  • General safety requirements
  • Forms of conformity assessment
  • DoC: applicable schemes and required documents
  • CoC: applicable schemes and required documents
  • Labeling requirements
  • “Chestny Znak” system in Russia
