Ukraine Launches New Technical Regulations on Energy Labelling of Heaters, Temperature Control and Solar Devices

In Ukraine, New Technical Regulation on the energy labelling of space heaters, combination heaters, packages of space heater, temperature control, and solar devices and packages of combination heater, temperature control and solar device becomes effective from May 6, 2021.

The national technical Regulation of Ukraine is based on the European Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 811/2013 of 18 February 2013 supplementing Directive 2010/30/EU.

The Technical Regulation specifies requirements for the energy labelling of space heaters and combination heaters with a rated heat output ≤ 70 kW, packages of space heater ≤ 70 kW, temperature control and solar device and packages of combination heater ≤ 70 kW, temperature control and solar devices.

The following devices are out of scope of the regulation:

‍

heaters specifically designed for using gaseous or liquid fuels produced from biomass
heaters using solid fuels
heaters that use waste, secondary energy resources, as well as heaters that are used in industry
heaters generating heat only for the purpose of providing hot drinking or sanitary water
heaters for heating and distributing gaseous heat transfer media such as vapour or air
cogeneration space heaters with a maximum electrical capacity of 50 kW or above

When introducing/putting the devices in service, suppliers must provide a printed and an electronic energy labels as well as microfiches to the distributors.

The energy labels should be as follows:

*Boiler space heaters in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A++ to G*

‍

*Cogeneration space heaters in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A++ to G*

‍

*Heat pump space heaters, except low-temperature heat pumps, in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A++ to G*

‍

*Low-temperature heat pumps in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A++ to G*

‍

*Boiler space heaters in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A+++ to D*

‍

*Cogeneration space heaters in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A+++ to D*

‍

*Heat pump space heaters, except low-temperature heat pumps, in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A+++ to D*

‍

*Low-temperature heat pumps in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A+++ to D*

‍

*Boiler combination heaters in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A++ to G and in water heating energy efficiency classes A to G*

‍

*Heat pump combination heaters in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A++ to G and in water heating energy efficiency classes A to G*

‍

*Boiler combination heaters in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A+++ to D and in water heating energy efficiency classes A+ to F*

*Label for packages of space heater, temperature control and solar device in seasonal space heating energy efficiency classes A+++ to G*

*Label for packages of combination heater, temperature control and solar device in seasonal space heating and water heating energy efficiency classes A+++ to G*
