GMA Consult Group kindly reminds that the Bureau on Energy (BOE) in Taiwan revised the "Energy Efficiency Standards and Labeling Methods for Energy-Saving Labels of Indoor Lighting Lamps" Order at the end of August 2019. The document became effective on September 1, 2020.
The revision concerns energy efficiency test conditions and methods. The BOE decided to bring some parameters in compliance with international standards on illumination. Thus, for example the reflection coefficient of the wall as well as ceiling becomes 0.5.
Requirements for updated national standards of Taiwan were also taken in consideration within the program and include the following:
Apart from the above-mentioned amendments, the BOE bound the manufacturer to put such information as the rated power, total luminous flux, color rendering index, color temperature, luminous efficiency, and power factor index, photobiological safety, flicker index and percentage of flicker of the lamp in the product catalog.
