Saudi Arabia Informs on Wi-Fi 6e Availability

The Saudi Arabia makes the full 6 GHz frequency band available for Wi-Fi use. That was announced by the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) at a webinar ‘’Fostering New Generation of Wi-Fi Technologies in Saudi Arabia’’ in early April.

The Launch of Wi-Fi 6e technology would speed up the internet by 5-fold for Wi-Fi users. Moreover, it will make available the use of different network applications such as the Internet of Things and smart homes. Фв Additionally, due to Wi-Fi 6e the speed of data transferring in wireless applications of such areas as the education, health, industry, science, etc. can be increased.

It should be noted that Saudi Arabia allocates 1,200 MHz of the radio spectrum for the Wi-Fi 6e. It means that now 2,035 MHz of spectrum is available for new generation of Wi-Fi and other license-exempt technologies. That is more than any country in the world has for now.
