Russia Extends Deadline for Leftover Footwear Stock Marking

The government of the Russian Federation signed the Decision 560 “On amending the Decision of the Russian Federation № 860 dated by July 5, 2019”.

It is worth reminding that the Decision № 860 relates to the footwear marking rules. According to these rules, the marking of footwear should be carried out on a staged basis. The final stage concerned leftover footwear stock marking.

Thus, the Decision 560 gives the opportunity to participants of footwear turnover to mark the leftover stock produced or acquired before July 1, 2020. However, the marking period was extended to June 1, 2021 only. Such leftover footwear stock must be put into circulation before June 15, 2021. The information on the products introduced into commerce should be sent to the information monitoring system. Otherwise, marking codes for such footwear will be cancelled.

We kindly remind you that sale of goods without the identification marking as well as storage, transportation or acquisition of such goods for further sale are subject to administrative fines. For legal entities (companies) the fine is 50 000 - 300 000 RUB with the forfeiture of the respective goods.
