Morocco Launches Updated Decision on Use of Short Range Devices

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) of Morocco revised the decision on the specification related to the use of Short Range Devices (SRD). The new Decision ANRT/DG/N°07/2021 was issued on May 07, 2021 but became applicable only in June. According to the new Decision, the ANRT adds requirements with regard to Wi-Fi 6E technology and extends the frequency bands for radio determination and motion detection devices.

Annex 5 “Local radio networks” is supplemented by the Wi-Fi 6E technology:


Annex 11 “Radiodetermination and motion detection devices”. The scope of the use was extended for the following frequency band:
