India Sets Mandatory Energy Consumption Rating parameters Within MTCTE Scheme

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India announced the new requirements for Energy Consumption Rating (ECR) parameters. The TEC elaborated that it will be necessary to provide test reports containing ECR parameters for the products included to the list of Essential Requirements (ERs) starting from January 1, 2023.

It is said that the required ECR parameter name as well as the relevant standard number for testing will be added to the ERs in the original form that is available in the text format at the MTCTE portal. This information allows manufacturers and laboratories to prepare for the new requirements in a proper and timely manner.
