India Makes Changes in the MTCTE Procedure for Products Under Phase V

In late April 2024, the Telecom Certification Division of the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India issued a notification extending the acceptance deadline for test reports from ILAC-accredited labs in non-border sharing countries by one month. The new deadline is July 30, 2024, instead of the original June 30, 2024. This extension applies to the following products under the Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment (MTCTE) procedure within Phase V:

Please, note that this notification concerns only to test reports issued for technical parameters. Furthermore, the test reports issued by foreign labs are accepted only if they are no older than two years from the date of submission concerning the above-mentioned products.

However, the mandatory certification date for these products remains unchanged, which is July 1, 2024.
