GMA Consult Group has resumed the service on the issuance of Safety Certificates of Conformity for the Moldova market (SM CoC). The SM CoC can be issued for all kinds of electrical and electronics products with validity periods from 1 to 3 years.

The SM CoC on Safety can be issued via the procedure of the manufacturer's test reports validation by the accredited CB in Moldova. In case the test results from the provided test reports comply with Moldova local Technical Regulation on Safety, additional local testings are not required. The Applicant for the SM CoC can be a foreign or local Manufacturer or its representative or importer.

As you may know, the SM Declaration of Conformity is still the only mandatory document for product importing to the Moldova market and the SM DoC can be obtained by the actual importer or manufacturer's local representative in Moldova only. By accepting the SM DoC, the importer and the manufacturer fully assume the risks associated with the safety of products when placing it on the market of Moldova.

The National Certificate of Conformity of Moldova on safety is not a mandatory document in Moldova. However, the procedure of obtaining SM CoC before the import of products allows reducing possible risks related to product safety regarding the completeness of technical construction file (TCF). This is the basis for the acceptance of the Declaration of Conformity (SM DoC) by the importer during the real importation of the products on the territory of the Moldova Republic.
