European Union Updates Decision on Harmonized Standards for Radio Equipment

The European Commission issued Decision 2022/498 on March 22, 2022. This Decision updates the Decision (EU) 2020/167 with regard to the harmonized standards for radio equipment. The Commission together with ETSI assessed and revised harmonized standards according to the requests of parties concerned.

Thus, the following latest revisions were added for: 

  1. IMT cellular networks equipment: 
    - EN 301 908-1 V15.1.1
    - EN 301 908-14 V15.1.1
    - EN 301 908-15 V15.1.1
    - EN 301 908-18 V15.1.1
  1. Fixed radio systems
    EN 302 217-2 V3.3.1
  1. Satellite stations and systems
    EN 301 444 V2.2.1
  1. Digital terrestrial TV transmitters
    EN 302 296 V2.2.1
  1. Mobile communication on board aircraft systems
    EN 302 480 V2.2.1
  1. Multi Gbps radio equipment
    EN 302 567 V2.2.1

Please, note that the previous version of these standards will be withdrawn by September 29, 2023
