Costa Rica Updates National Frequency Allocation Plan

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of Costa Rica (SUTEL) amended the National Frequency Allocation Plan.

According to the document, the national notes CR 058, CR 061, CR 061A, CR 064, CR 067, CR 069, CR 070, CR 072, CR 075, CR 077, CR 078, CR 103, CR 104, CR 105 and CR 106 of article 19 of Executive Decree No. 35257-MINAET, “National frequency allocation Plan” were amended with regard to the Recommendation ITU-R M.1036 and 3GPP TSs.

Moreover, the following frequency bands become available for unlicensed use:

  • 902-940 MHz frequency band with Maximum output power of 24 dBm and EIRP of 30 dBm
  • 5875-5925 MHz and 5925-7125 MHz with Maximum output power of 24 dBm and EIRP of 30 dBm
  • 76-81 GHz band for vehicle radar products
