China Notifies About Changes in RoHS Certification Rules

China Quality Certification Centre (hereinafter referred to as CQC) notified on the revision of CQC21-020304-2011 "RoHS Certification Rules" and its enclosures.

The CQC notes in the announcement that there are three main aspects that were revised within the certification rules:

  • The first one concerns the name of Chinese RoHS regulations
  • The second is about detection methods for the four phthalates and hexavalent chromium
  • The third was made to bring the Chinese RoHS Certification Rules in compliance with the Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 of 31 March 2015 amending Annex II to Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the list of restricted substances with regards to the stated transition period requirements

The CQC also specifies that this revision does not relate to the valid certificates.

However, please note, it is possible to apply for the certification procedure under the revised rule from the end of June.
