The Office of the Regulator in Samoa (OOTR) released the Order 2021/T02 on the label requirements for type-approved equipment. According to this Order, manufacturers and importers who want to put telecommunications equipment to the market of Samoa should pass the type approval procedure and get a corresponding certificate. The certificate is granted with a type approval identification code.
To get consumers informed on the approval of the product, the OOTR decided to adopt the following trademark as a symbol of approval for telecommunications products within the Samoa’s conformity assessment scheme:
This mark should be put on the packaging, accompanying documents, and equipment itself. The OOTR also recommends using the electronic form of the mark when the approved device embedded a display.
