The Communications Regulatory Authority of Qatar (CRA) published a new Class License for the use of RLAN devices over 5925-6425 MHz Band on their website. The document states that once received class license for the device, it can be used by others in the future without personal submit.

Currently, the permitted frequency band for the RLAN devices is 5925-6425 MHz. The RLAN devices that operate beyond the indicated bands shall not be manufactured or imported for the purposes of marketing, selling or distributing in Qatar. Nevertheless, the CRA marks that it is possible to use the device above the permitted maximum limit if it passes a separate license procedure and has the required spectrum license from the CRA.

However, the CRA notifies that it supports the allocation of the entire band for license exempt use, but the allocation of the entire band will depend on the results taken within the World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC-23) Thus, the CRA leaves open the possibility of changing the upper part of the 6 GHz band from 6425 MHz to 7125 MHz.
