In February, The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States has published the guidance for compliance measurements on digital transmission systems, frequency hopping spread spectrum systems, and hybrid system devices operating under section 15.247 of the FCC Rules.
This guidance helps understand requirements for the measurement and certification procedure of the equipment operating under Section 15.247 of the FCC rules. It also clarifies some moments regarding classification of the devices, as many devices can operate under multiple rules or bands, and provides answers to frequently asked questions.
However, the document only provides additional filing and measurement guidelines for DTS, FHSS, and hybrid system equipment as these devices must comply with the general rules and requirements for all transmitters in Part 15 Subpart A and C, and the specific requirements listed in Section 15.247.
