The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Bahrain (TRA) is planning to open a new Wi-Fi spectrum within the Kingdom. Currently, it is going to adopt 5470-5725 MHz and 5925-6425 MHz radio spectrum bands for the use of devices operating Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E standards.
As the General Director of the TRA said, such actions will allow local users to enjoy new technologies and capabilities of the devices supporting 6/6E standards in full.
The TRA hasn’t issued any regulatory documents regarding the new radio spectrum bands yet. However, it provides infographics related to the approving Wi-Fi 6 technology as below:
